Soul Joel Productions, New York’s latest comedy craze, was started by Comedian “Soul” Joel Richardson and business partner Scott Chamberlin in September 2007. In the first few months, Soul Joel Productions (SJP) established relationships and set up monthly shows in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut. Since then, they have produced shows in twelve states featuring over 300 comedians.
